Brothers

- Description
There are moments in a man's life that no words can reach — moments where the only language that matters is presence. This is one of those moments, carved in walnut and given permanent form.
Titled Brothers, this original sculpture depicts two figures locked in the timeless grammar of grief and comfort — one man folded inward, bearing some unseen weight, and the other leaning close, his hand offered not to fix, but simply to stay. It is a scene every human being has either lived or witnessed, and the artist has captured it with a rawness and tenderness that stops you where you stand.
Carved from rich Regia Walnut from Europe, the piece measures approximately 12 inches tall and 16 inches at its widest — substantial enough to command a room, intimate enough to feel personal. The walnut's warm, honey-brown tones shift across the surface as the light moves, revealing the faceted chisel work the artist has left deliberately visible. These are not smoothed away — they are part of the story. Every angled plane catches the light differently, giving the figures a sense of breath and movement that polished surfaces simply cannot hold.
The base flows naturally from the wood itself, grounding the two figures as though they emerged from the earth together — which, in a sense, they did.
This is not merely a sculpture. It is a monument to brotherhood — to the grace of showing up, saying nothing, and refusing to let someone carry their weight alone.
