Born: 1962, Stockton, California.
Dale first learned to carve in the Boy Scouts with a pocket knife that his Grandfather
gave him. Raised on a farm in Eastern Washington, there was always plenty of wood
to carve on, and of course his Mom kept plenty of Band-Aids on hand.
Dale has taken techniques that have almost exclusively been used for religious carving
in Central Europe and adapted them to the figurines he now carves. Whether putting
a European twist on an American favorite, like Santa Claus, carving Native American
faces or other figurines, Dale has added a dash of European tradition to his sculptures.
Dale has studied wood carving in Austria and has been accepted into the sculpture
program at the Academy of Arts in Florence, Italy where some day he hopes to attend
to hone his skills as a Realist sculptor.
Born: 1966, Dneprodzherzinsk, USSR.
Tamara has mastered the fluid medium of watercolor. She is a graduate of the state
art school in Dneprodzherzinsk, Ukraine and has also studied in Austria and the
USA.
Tamara continues to paint her favorite subjects, spectacular Cityscapes from places
she and her husband have been. The views she chooses to capture in watercolors are
unique and represent cherished memories from her travels.
Tamara has taken her talent to a new subject, Santa Clauses and Fairytale Figures.
She creates her paintings to be pleasant to view but also to depict her subject
in a unique way. And when required an authentic, historical representation is critical.
Not only are her paintings a beautiful work of art in themselves they are used as
the foundation for the sculptures that her husband creates in wood.
