The techniques that Dale employs were developed by master carvers in the Alpine region of Tyrol 500 years ago. Back then when the demand for exquisite carvings were in high, it was important to be able to carve fast and accurate.
Those master carvers passed on their trade secrets from generation to generation. And today descendents of those carvers still produce the same high quality carvings and school future generations in the art of sculpture with the simplest of tools; a wooden mallet and razor sharp chisels.
